British Gas Business Launches iPhone App For Customer Convenience

British Gas Business has become the first energy provider in UK to launch an iPhone application for its customers. Around 60,000 British Gas business customers using iPhone will benefit from the energy provider’s latest offering.

Numerous B2B firms have launched applications previously to promote their products or for the benefit of their customers but none of the energy providers have ever taken such a step.

The application will help British Gas Business users to stay updated with their energy meter readings on the move. The application will help solve any meter reading issues of the customers. Nearly 20% of calls made to the British Gas Business customer care centers are regarding the meter readings, in order to solve such issues the company decided to launch an application.

British Gas Business users consist of large businesses that highly depend on its services, the consumption is huge and the customers would always want to keep an eye on it. In order to give them a better control over their energy usage and keep them updated with the day-to-day energy usage the application has been designed which will be available to iPhone and iPad users.

With the launch of a dedicated application for British Gas business customers they will now be free from the fear of getting estimated bills at the end of the month as they can keep a tab on their daily energy consumption with the application.

British Gas had introduced an iPhone application in December 2009 for their residential customer that was downloaded by more than 70,000 people. With the good response the energy provider got in the past it is sure that this time too its customers will find the application highly beneficial.
